Andrew Dice Clay on shooting ‘Vinyl’: ‘I was stoned out every day’
Too bad he was killed off so quickly, because Andrew Dice Clay stormed through the premiere episode of HBO’s “Vinyl,” giving a memorable performance as coked-up radio honcho Frank “Buck” Rogers.
“I was stoned out every day shooting that show,” Dice tells The Post. “I would start smoking weed the minute I left my hotel room. This one guy said, ‘Dice, there’s a million cops on the set.’ I looked at him, and I’m just stoned and laughing, and I go, ‘There’s not a cop in New York that’s going to put me in jail for weed. They’d want to smoke with me.’”
“That’s where I had to go in order to go deep into the psyche of Buck Rogers.”
